We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Mining Engineer Consultant<\/strong> to join our team and help open-pit mine sites around the world improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance through data-driven insights and practical engineering expertise.<\/p>\n

About this role:<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Mining Engineer Consultant plays a key role in helping open-pit operations reach their full potential. In this role, you will assess mine performance, analyze production data, and identify opportunities to optimize equipment utilization, dispatching, and short-term planning. You\u2019ll work closely with supervisors, dispatchers, and site leadership to develop solutions that drive measurable performance gains and long-term improvement.<\/p>\n

This is a hands-on role that blends technical analysis with operational engagement. You\u2019ll bring structure and insight to daily operations, help teams act on performance data in real time, and ensure that improvements are embedded sustainably within the operation.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/h3>\n

  • \u2022\u00a0 Conduct operational assessments of open-pit mine sites to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.<\/li>\n
  • \u2022\u00a0 Analyze production and fleet performance data to develop actionable recommendations for optimizing haulage, loading, and dispatch activities.<\/li>\n
  • \u2022\u00a0 Collaborate with site teams to enhance short-term planning, shift execution, and compliance-to-plan performance.<\/li>\n
  • \u2022\u00a0 Support the implementation of operational improvement programs such as Short Interval Control (SIC) and Advanced Dispatch optimization.<\/li>\n
  • \u2022\u00a0 Work with Fleet Management Systems (FMS) to validate data accuracy and ensure it supports decision-making and productivity analysis.<\/li>\n
  • \u2022\u00a0 Facilitate coaching and training sessions with site engineers, dispatchers, and supervisors to embed operational best practices.<\/li>\n
  • \u2022\u00a0 Prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentations that communicate findings, results, and improvement opportunities.<\/li>\n
  • \u2022\u00a0 Build and maintain strong relationships with client teams through collaboration, transparency, and technical credibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Qualifications<\/span><\/b><\/h4>\n

        • \u2022\u00a0 <\/strong>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mining Engineering or a related technical discipline.<\/li>\n
        • \u2022\u00a0 <\/strong>5\u201310 years of experience in open-pit mining operations, mine planning, or operational improvement roles.<\/li>\n
        • \u2022\u00a0 <\/strong>Strong understanding of open-pit fleet management, dispatching, and productivity optimization.<\/li>\n
        • \u2022\u00a0 <\/strong>Familiarity with Short Interval Control (SIC), Lean, or other operational excellence frameworks is an asset.<\/li>\n
        • \u2022\u00a0 <\/strong>Proven ability to analyze large operational datasets and present clear, actionable insights.<\/li>\n
        • \u2022\u00a0 <\/strong>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n
        • \u2022\u00a0 <\/strong>Proficiency in French or Spanish is considered an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
